General cargo transportation:

Side-trailer with sidewall: Steel plate suspension is often used, which has simple structure, low cost, reliable operation, can bear large loads, and is suitable for transporting various general cargoes, such as building materials, daily necessities, etc.

Side-trailer with sidewall: Steel plate suspension or single-point suspension is also widely used. Steel plate suspension can provide reliable support, while single-point suspension can divide the force points equally to different axles, thus improving the bearing capacity, and is suitable for transporting large and heavy cargoes, such as agricultural products, industrial products, etc.

Heavy cargo transportation:

 For trailers that transport heavy cargoes such as large machinery and equipment, engineering components, such as large-piece transport semitrailers and low-bed semitrailers, rigid suspension or reinforced steel plate suspension and single-point suspension are often used. Although rigid suspension has poor shock absorption, it has a solid structure and can bear great weight; reinforced steel plate suspension or single-point suspension has certain shock absorption performance relative to rigid suspension while ensuring the bearing capacity, and can better adapt to long-distance transportation and different road conditions.

Special cargo transportation:

Cold chain transportation: Refrigerated semi-trailers have high requirements for the preservation of goods, and generally use air suspension or mechanical suspension with better performance. The air suspension has good shock absorption effect, which can reduce the impact of vehicle bumps on the goods and help maintain the integrity and quality of the goods; some advanced mechanical suspension systems can also provide better shock absorption performance and stability through optimized design to meet the requirements of cold chain transportation.

Hazardous chemical transportation:

 According to relevant regulations, dangerous goods transport semi-trailers with a total mass greater than or equal to 12,000 kg should be equipped with air suspension. This is because the air suspension can evenly distribute the axle loads of each axle, balance the contact between the tires and the ground, improve the overall braking performance and turning stability of the axle, and automatically adjust the height according to the road conditions to reduce vibration, which is conducive to protecting the safety of hazardous chemicals. However, on some small hazardous chemical transport trailers, specially designed and certified mechanical suspensions may also be used to ensure transportation safety.
